Super BowlAre you ready for some football? I have to admit – I love football! I also enjoy the Super Bowl. One of these years, I hope to see our Detroit Lions as one of the teams competing in the end. I know wishful thinking, but one has to keep hope alive!

Are you having a Super Bowl party? There are so many clever and cute football recipes! Want some healthy recipes to share? Most all of these recipes are healthy and involve “real” food. A couple recipes might have slid in that aren’t quite as healthy, but hey, it’s only for 1 day!

Adding any of these recipes to your Super Bowl party can make for a healthier party then eating the typical processed junk foods. Enjoy!

Lentil Sloppy Joes

Meatballs made with Beyond Organic GreenFed beef

Popcorn Chicken (Grain/Nut/Corn/Soy/Dairy/Egg Free)

Greenfed Beef Chili – From The Maker’s Diet Revolution

1 1/2 lbs ground GreenFed beef
48 oz tomato juice
1 onion, chopped
3 cans kidney beans, drained
1 can Italian-style diced tomatoes
chili powder
salt and pepper, to taste

Brown beef in a skillet.  In a large pot, bring tomato juice, chopped onion, drained kidney beans, and diced tomatoes to a boil and then turn down to simmer.  Add browned meat after it has been drained.  Add chili pepper, salt and pepper to taste.  Cook on low for 30 minutes.  Serves 8.
