Recipe: Gluten-free and Clean Rival to Chick-fil-A

If you know me, you know I encourage people to eliminate fast food! There isn’t much healthy that’s offered at a McDonald’s, Burger King, or other fast food joints. Even most of their salads, which you would think are healthy, have chemicals sprayed on them and chemicals in their dressings.

My husband and I haven’t eaten at a fast food restaurant, other then Chipotle, in a long time. However, there is one fast food restaurant which my husband always likes to stop by when we’re traveling. That would be Chick-fil-A. He enjoys their chicken sandwich and waffle fries. I don’t recommend Chick-fil-A because of the ingredients they use in their food; however, they are beginning to make some changes. It will be great once they make all of these changes!

Chick-fil-A Rival Chicken Strips

I have seen a couple of “healthier” Chick-fil-A recipes that people have created, but I hadn’t tried any of them until recently. I saw a recipe that said it was a rival to Chick-fil-A. It looked easy and I had the ingredients on hand, so I decided to give it a try. I also liked the idea that this recipe was gluten-free. This rival Chick-fil-A recipe comes from Life Made Full.

So Does It Rival Chick-fil-A?

I haven’t had a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich in so long that I forgot what it tasted like. My husband remembers though. He didn’t think this tasted like Chick-fil-A (honestly, would anything “clean” taste like the “chemical” original?), but he still really liked it. I liked it too! The chicken was so moist and tasty! He ate his chicken as a sandwich with a bun and I ate it just as chicken.

I would say this chicken recipe is a good substitute for a Chick-fil-A sandwich and does rival it! The ingredients are much better than you would currently find in an original Chick-fil-A sandwich.

I appreciate the fact that Shanti from Life Made Full makes healthy recipes with “clean” food!  Be sure to check out her website for other tasty recipes!
