Due to my wheat allergy, I eat gluten free, but I rarely use gluten free flour. I like to eat grain free and use almond flour, or coconut flour instead. Most of the recipes I post on here will include one of those. I also don’t eat sweets, but my husband likes them so I try to find “healthy” sweet recipes for him every once in a while. This recipe caught my eye.
Tempting Chocolate Brownies
This brownie recipe comes from our friend down under at Eat Drink Paleo. I love her tagline on Facebook, “healthy food doesn’t have to be boring”. This recipe certainly isn’t! She calls the recipe “Chocolate Brownies that Blew Me Away”.

The Secret Ingredient!
So if you clicked on the recipe link above, you already know what the secret ingredient is, but for those of you who read this entire post before clicking through to the recipe, here is the secret ingredient: sweet potato! She calls for a white sweet potato, but I couldn’t find one of those, so I just used a regular, orange sweet potato. It seemed to work out fine. Once everything is mixed together and cooked, you wouldn’t even know there was sweet potato in it. Actually, my husband probably didn’t know it until reading this:).
If You’re Looking for a Sweet Treat, This is a Great Option!
If you’re looking for a gluten free chocolate brownie recipe, I would recommend this one from Eat Drink Paleo! Enjoy!
