I recently received a laptop case from SafeSleeve which helps to reduce the amount of radiation we receive from our laptop. I was excited to receive it as I have personally experienced sensitivity to EMFs when I’m on my computer, or near other EMF emitting products. I can feel it on my neck. It’s difficult to explain, but it’s almost like a burning sensation. Since I need to be on my computer for much of the day, this isn’t a good problem to have.

My SafeSleeve Review of Their Anti-Radiation Cases
SafeSleeve is a business based out of sunny Southern California (however, I don’t hold that against them as I write this post from freezing Michigan:)).
I’m so grateful there are entrepreneurs who are trying to make a difference in our lives with the products they develop by creating solutions for making everyday products we use safer for us.
SafeSleeve’s mission/goal is “to protect our users from harmful EMF radiation while establishing the industry standard in quality, mobility, convenience, and style.”
SafeSleeve provides both laptop and Smart Phone cases. Their cases block Extremely Low Frequency (ELF), Radio Frequency (RF, WiFi), and thermal (heat) radiation.
How Does the SafeSleeve Anti-Radiation Case Minimize Radiation?
SafeSleeve uses military-grade shielding material in their 2.0 cases that deflect and diverts nearly 100% of ELF and RF radiation back into the laptop or away from your body. Additionally, the outer case surface is optimized for airflow. This allows your laptop to breathe, keeping it cool.
Using an industry level EMF meter, they are able to measure the amount of radiation a typical laptop emits, versus what emits when using the SafeSleeve case. Typical laptops emit more than 100 mG levels of radiation. From the testing they have done, when using their case, they have seen a reduction in the amount of radiation by over 95%.
Why Should We Be Concerned About EMFs?
As Dr. Mercola explains in his article Powerful and Simple Tips to Help Lower Your EMF Risks,
“EMF should be considered a harmful invader to your body, just like any other environmental toxin. It interferes with your health at the cellular level because you are actually an electrical being.
Your body is a complex communication device where cells, tissues, organs and organisms all “talk.” At each of these levels, the communication includes finely tuned bio-electrical transmitters and receivers, which are tuned like tuning into a radio station.
What happens when you expose a radio antenna to a significant amount of external noise? You get static from the noise — and that is what is happening to your body in today’s electrosmog environment.”
Guests on Living Natural Today: Out with Toxins – In with Your Health
I had the opportunity to interview Cary Subel, Co-Founder / CEO and Travis Puckett, Director of Marketing, from SafeSleeve on my radio show: Living Natural Today: Out with Toxins – In with Your Health. If you missed the episode, be sure to listen to the archive.
Cary and Travis provided some great information, such as explaining the differences between ELF, RF and thermal radiation. We discussed in what products you can find this radiation and how to measure it and avoid it. We also discussed the harmful effects to our health when exposed to EMFs. You’ll want to be sure to check it out!
My Experience with the SafeSleeve Laptop Case
When I received the case, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there wasn’t a bad off-gassing odor from the case. As someone with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, this is something I typically have an issue with. If I purchase a new product, I usually have to leave it out in our garage for a while until the toxic smell dissipates enough for me to be able to use it. I was able to use this SafeSleeve case immediately.
Another thing I have noticed is (like they say on their website) it keeps my laptop cooler. I don’t recommend doing this, but I generally have my laptop turned on for at least 8 hours a day for work.
While I make it a point not to sit in front of it for 8 hours straight, I am still on it much of the time. I also try to unplug it throughout the day, as Dr. Mercola recommends. However, even with doing that, I notice my laptop fan will run quite often to cool down the laptop.
While setting my laptop on the SafeSleeve case, I notice that my fan doesn’t run as much. Also, when I feel the bottom of the laptop, even when it’s been on for most of the day, it doesn’t feel warm.
I also like the fact that there is a mouse pad attached to the case. This makes it convenient when you’re traveling with your laptop.
Slide the laptop into the case to take it with you. When you reach your destination, take the laptop out, set it on top of the case and open the flap so you can easily use your mouse on the pad.
Finally, how has my experience been with EMFs? I have to admit that I still have some sensitivities to EMFs while using the laptop case. Although, remember I had a severe sensitivity to EMFs before using the SafeSleeve case.
Even with that high level of sensitivity, I notice a difference in the amount of sensitivity I experience when I use the SafeSleeve case compared to when I don’t use the case. It’s not as great when I use the case. I don’t have a Gauss meter yet, but when I buy one, I’ll be anxious to try it on the laptop when I use the case and then test other areas in my office which might be contributing to the amount of EMFs I’m being exposed to.
Would I Recommend the SafeSleeve Case?
Yes, I would highly recommend purchasing a SafeSleeve case for your laptop and/or Smartphone! You don’t want to get to the point which I have gotten regarding EMFs. Any shielding of radiation you can do will help.
For the average person, this case provides the shielding that is necessary when using technology.
SafeSleeve provides anti-radiation cases for laptops, tablets, and cell phones. They come in a variety of colors. They also provide anti-radiation headphones.
Be sure to protect yourself from harmful radiation by using a SafeSleeve anti-radiation case.

I’ve owned numerous radiation protection cellphone cases in the past, from RF Safe. This is the first case I purchased from SafeSleeve. All the RF Safe cases used the protection shielding throughout the front flap of the phone, including the cut out for earpiece. However the SafeSleeve case has absolutely nothing in the earpiece cutout to stop radiation from entering your ear, when holding the phone up to your head. To me this case should NOT be used, if your main concern is protecting yourself from your phone’s radiation.

You would have to check with SafeSleeve directly, but I personally haven’t had a problem with the ear piece area. There isn’t a big cutout. There are a few tiny holes to hear through. Plus, the audio seems to be so amplified that you really don’t have to hold it up directly to your ear. I have EMF sensitivities and have tried other things, but SafeSleeve is the only one I have seen a noticeable difference with.

Thank you so much Teresa for this review, i looked all over the internet for a review but couldn’t find one. Like you i am extremely sensitive to EMF’s and many other household chemicals. I have to use my laptop most of the day and i find it really hard as i tend to itch all over and i get a tightness at the back of my head and i feel the radiation in my stomach if i am sitting on my desk, at the moment i am using my laptop on an ethernet cable and i turn the wifi off it helps but its not ideal as the cables don’t come long enough so i am limited to working only in my living room. i can not wait to get this cover. Thank you, Mada

Hi Mada – Sorry to hear that you suffer with EMF sensitivities too. Sounds like you have multiple chemical sensitivity. I’ll be curious to hear how you like the SafeSleeve. As I mentioned in the post, I still experience some sensitivities while using the case, but they’re not as great as they once were. Let me know how you like it. I hope it works well for you!
