Tips to Whiten Your Teeth Naturally at Home

Most people often go to reputable dental healthcare centers in order to get the best services in terms of whitening their teeth or getting Invisalign (getting teeth straightened).

However, this trend is slowly changing as home remedies are slowly being traded with going to the hospital. People are also shying away from using synthetic chemicals at the dental clinics and are turning to home remedies that are more natural.

The following are 5 tips that you can use to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your home.

Apple Cider Vinegar Can Be Used for Multiple Functions

Apple cider vinegar is composed of acetic acid which can be used to achieve multiple functions. It is known to be good for the digestive system since it is used to clean it and kill germs.

It is also used to kill bacteria in the mouth as well as whitening your teeth at the same time.

It is a very cheap product as it is able to save you the cost that would have been used in case of situations such as stomach aches or buying a product to kill germs in the mouth such as mouthwash.

Hydrogen peroxide is a Natural Bleaching Agent

Hydrogen peroxide is a natural bleaching agent which even though it doesn’t bleach the teeth immediately, it may achieve remarkable results after using it over a long period.

However, medical practitioners advise not to use it in its concentrated form. Dental centers such as Sydney Invisalign Services can advise you on the correct amount that you can use before taking matters in your hand.

Use of Baking Soda

Most of us are aware that baking soda is made up of strong components and has whitening properties.

It is also known that many commercial kinds of toothpaste are made of baking soda, but that is not enough.

You can start your teeth whitening process by increasing the concentration of baking soda on your toothpaste. You can achieve this by mixing a teaspoon of baking soda with two teaspoons of water, then brush your teeth together with your normal toothpaste. If you do this over a certain period of time, it will help to whiten your teeth.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables – Good for Your Whole Body

These foods contain components that are used as agents for whitening your teeth. Some of the fruits which do a perfect job helping to whiten your teeth include but not limited to celery, pineapples, oranges, and strawberries.

Drinking yogurt is also a good remedy. This is a good method because you are able to hit two birds with one stone as you are able to benefit from the fruit’s other benefits.

Powdered Charcoal Can Remove Toxins

It’s ironic how charcoal is black, but it can whiten your teeth.

In order to get powdered charcoal, take solid charcoal and grind it on a clean surface. Studies have shown that activated charcoal contains natural chemicals that can be used to remove toxins when mixed with it. These will then be removed out of the body through the digestive system. Simply brush your teeth with powdered charcoal and let it settle for 2-3 minutes.
