Toxic Mold: Learn How to Survive From These Experts

There’s a lot to learn if you have been impacted by toxic mold. That’s why I’m always glad to share resources from people who educate us about mold. October 30 – November 5, 2017 is Mold Week. Mold Week is a free online event in which guest experts cover the practical matters of dealing with a water-damaged building, like clearing debris and filing insurance claims. They also talk about protecting your health while you clean up debris, as well as prevention and healing of long-term health effects.

Whether your house has been flooded by a natural disaster, a burst pipe or a leak behind a wall, you are risk of being exposed to toxins that can make you and your family really sick. If water damage in your home or office isn’t discovered or isn’t remediated correctly, you risk becoming chronically ill from the gases that toxic mold produces. It’s estimated that at least 25% of buildings have water damage from floods, storms, burst pipes, humidity or slow leaks.

Not All Mold is Toxic, But…

Not all mold is toxic, but toxic species often thrive in the protected environment of your drywall or under your flooring. Not everyone will get sick from toxic mold, but if you are among the 25% of people with poor genes for clearing mold, or are already immunocompromised, you can get very, very sick.

A few years ago, the event host, Bridgit Danner made the mistake of thinking that toxic mold was a fringe issue that she would never experience, until she found out her home was infested with colonies of toxic mold and her health became severely affected. I can totally relate as mold was something that destroyed my health.

Take Advantage of this Information About Toxic Mold

Whether you are health care practitioner, a home-owner or a person living in a tropical area, I invite you to listen in to the interviews during Mold Week. Each day will share information about mold and water damage from the experts.

Mold Week is completely free, online and runs until Nov. 5, 2017.

Register here and you will receive a recorded interview each day of Mold Week. You will receive instant access to Moldy, the documentary by Dave Asprey, when you register.

I trust you will take advantage of this information and also share it with those you know who live in a flood zone, humid environment, or are chronically ill and don’t know why. Mold is something that everyone should be aware of.
