Have you ever been to a store and as you’re shopping, you stop to look at the ingredients in products? Maybe it’s the shampoo, makeup, or laundry detergent you’re thinking of buying. Maybe it’s even some processed food. You can’t believe what is in it! You can’t pronounce what is in it, let alone try to know what all of those chemical ingredients are. Then you wonder, what are all of those chemicals doing to my body?
If you are like the average person, you are being exposed to hundreds of chemicals on a daily basis with the products that you typically use every day. Many of those chemicals haven’t even been tested for safety! The chemicals in products might be in small quantities; however, many bioaccumulate – meaning they become concentrated in our bodies as we are continually exposed. With all of the many toxins that we are being exposed to today, we are absorbing toxins faster than they can leave our body.

Toxins Wreaked Havoc on My Body
Because of my own personal health challenges, which were due in part to toxins in everyday products and the environment, I have visited many doctors and have had to do a ton of research over the past few years. Let me tell you, I am so glad that I began minimizing toxins at the time! It’s one of the things that has helped to transform my health!
My symptoms innocently started years ago with daily headaches, fatigue, bloating, and brain fog. I went through life managing, actually ignoring the symptoms. I had learned how to work around them. They were just a part of my life. It wasn’t until those innocent symptoms led to more concerning ones that I stopped to take notice. Unfortunately, traditional medical doctors didn’t have answers for me after all of the different tests that they ran. Fortunately, I was able to find other doctors (i.e. functional medicine, chiropractors, naturopaths) who understood what was wrong with me. They taught me that I had to get to the root cause and I had to begin changing some of my lifestyle. They mentioned that I needed to minimize toxins because my toxic bucket had overflowed.
However, when I was initially advised to start minimizing toxins, it was overwhelming. With over 80,000 chemicals on the market and only a tiny percentage which have been tested for safety, I didn’t even know where to begin.
